You can also block user accounts from MyChat Client.

It can be done in context menu by right clicking on the user name in the chat ("Administration" -> "Block this IP").

When a blocked IP address attempts to connect, the server disconnects it, and the client application will receive the error "Connection reset by peer".

Notice!

Be careful when using this function. If some part of users are behind the gateway or NAT, they will have same IP addresses on MyChat Server side, and you can block a lot of users instead on one unintentionally.

Also, a user can be connected from multiple devices at the same time, for example, Windows client via local WiFi network, and Android phone via the internet. Both IP of these devices will be blocked.

How to unblock IP address?

List of blocked  IP addresses, authors of blockings, and comments  are located in the section "Filters" -> "IP filters". In this section, you can also disable or edit wrong blocking.
