Error #79997: invalid database version! Closing application

 

Error description

The server's database version is newer than your MyChat Server version.

 

Problem solution

This can happen if you install the old version of MyChat Server on the latest one. For example, version 7.1 instead of 7.7. Database downgrade is impossible. If you want to install the older version of MyChat Server, you need backup copies from the old version.

 

If you do not need databases (settings, message history, etc.), then delete the folder C:\ProgramData\MyChat Server\db\ before installing the server.

 

After start, the server creates empty databases and ready to work.
