You need IP address, MyChat Server port, and Integration API key.

Where can you find IP address and connection port?

You can  find this information on the running MyChat Server, in the "Settings" section — "Network settings":

List of IP addresses for MyChat Server network interfaces

All available IP addresses of computer network interfaces that provide work for MyChat Server are displayed in the drop-down list "Bind server to the IP". The port is specified in the same window — usually, its number is 2004. You should connect to the same address that was specified in the drop-down list. If you choose "listen to all", then you can connect to any address from the list.

MyChat Integration API key and its configuration

Now, let's move on to the program settings section called "Settings" — "Integration API":

Configuring MyChat Integration API

In this section, you can enable access to the integration technology. You should checkbox "Enable integration with third-party software" and enter a key or generate it. The key is a password for server access from external services. Only those who have this password can connect to the server (even if the server has access to the Internet and not only local users connect to it).

Besides, you can configure a filtration by IP address masks from which you can connect to MyChat Server and use Integration API functions.

Notice!

To make Integration API work you need at least one user connection to the server from the number of free connections of your license (the same as for regular connection). Remember this when integrating MyChat to your software.
