Settings description

Connection timeout

the time, during which the application must connect to the server (10, 15, or 20 seconds). After that time, if a connection does not happen, the client receives the error "Network error 10060: "Connection timed out". This configuration is not used when PUSH notifications are on;

Reconnect time

time after which the application attempts to connect to the server. For example, when switching between a mobile network and Wi-Fi (5, 10, or 15 seconds). This configuration is not used when PUSH notifications are on;

Restart MyChat after reboot

when this configuration is on, the application starts working in background mode after smartphone restart. This configuration is not used when PUSH notifications are on;

Save account data

the configuration is active when a user is logged in. Pressing on this configuration saves the login data in secured storage. On the login screen, next to the login button, an image with a fingerprint appears for biometric authentication.

Use PUSH notifications

Show images in private dialogues

a switcher. When it is on, images thumbnails are displayed in private dialogues; when off — the button "Open" opens an image viewer;

Show images in channels (conferences)

a switcher. When it is on, images thumbnails are displayed in private dialogues; when off — the button "Open" opens an image viewer;

Thumbs size

choosing the size for images thumbnails (small, medium, or large);

Disable all sounds

a switcher that disable all sound effects from the section "Звуки";

Sounds

a subsection with switchers for enabling/disabling sound effects ("Phrase in chatroom", "Enter message", "Incoming broadcast", "Ringtone", "Busy", "Connection failure", "Incoming call", "End of call");

Show notifications in private dialogues

a switcher. When it is on, a notification about an incoming private message is displayed on the top of the screen;

Show notifications in channels

a switcher. When it is on, a notification about an incoming channel message is displayed on the top of the screen;

Allow showing the active process

Enable traffic logging

When this configuration is on, the application stores all the data exchanged with the server via the network. More about logs;

Check for new MyChat versions weekly

a switcher. When it is on, the application sends a request once a week to check if a new version is available on the developers' server;

Check updates now

send a request on the developers' server for the latest update. If the update is available, the window with the changelog is displayed regarding the new version;
