Error #0236: updating package downloading has aborted due to the network time-out (>XXX ms)

 

Error description

MyChat Client could not download the update file from your MyChat Server due to a long time-out (usually, longer than 10 seconds).

 

Problem solution

Reasons:

 

•no access to MyChat WEB server. WEB server port is closed by a firewall or anti-virus that filters the server traffic;

•you are connecting over the Internet not in local network or from another sub-network and MyChat Server external address has an incorrect configuration in network settings;

•a very bad connection. It's unusual because the time-out is huge (10 seconds). But everything can happen. For example, your network is overloaded due to a DDOS attack.

•MyChat WEB services opened in a browser but the update is not downloaded. Check your browser for proxy server settings.
