MyChat has rights groups. There are regular groups (for uniting people by some characteristics), and a special section for conference moderators. Add a user to this section to let the system know which conference he is allowed to be a moderator.

This is a bot. Elisa automatically creates conferences when the server starts. The bot is responsible for system notifications. It can't be deleted but possible to rename. You can disable the bot's display in MyChat Client's settings.

Use the MSI package and GPO for distributing the program and configuring the connection to the server. We recommend using transparent authorization, to let users enter without typing logins and passwords.

Enter the "Server administration", "Conferences", "Auto created conferences". In this section, you can create any number of conferences, specify topics and descriptions; conditions for connections, and option to add user groups.

Conferences can be hidden, secured by password, or deleted.

From a command line. The same actions are made for installing MyChat Server. We recommend adding the key "/log", to enter the process log in the text file for analysis o possible issues.

We recommend using the service MyChat Distrib Maker. By using this service you can get a ready distributional file with the address of your server, user's login/password, and ready settings.

MyChat Client can update directly from the server, in the automatic mode via http(s). Update the server and let the program do the rest. All other options are described in the section about MyChat update.

You need an external ("white") IP address. Ask your provider to give it to you. Configure port mapping on your router for the server's core (2004 TCP), web server (80/443 TCP) and TURN server for calls (8888 TCP). Ports' numbers can be changed in the server's settings.

If you have no IP address provided, there is a dynamic one. Use services such as DynDNS, but it is not a secure option.
 
Also, if you plan to use applications for smartphones, you need a domain and https certificate (there is a technology for free certificates Let's Encrypt on MyChat Server).

Check the connection with your server via the internet on the Admin Panel of your server.

Yes. In general, all users connected to the server are in the same virtual local network.

Login — "mcuser", password — "mychat". Change them right after the first server installation, for security measures.

No. Set up a default password for a user with UIN 1. Launch the server with the key "/zeroadmin". The server let this user manage the server, even if you took away the rights from him by mistake.

Unfortunately, antivirus heuristics are not perfect and make mistakes. MyChat files have no viruses and trojans. We have been developing this messenger for many years, and our reputation is the most precious thing that we have. To make sure, check the file on virustotal.com.

You can't avoid security measures when you forget the password. But you can upload a new password via settings profiles on the server. Another option is to delete a client's databases (C:\Users\%USERNAME%t\AppData\Local\MyChat Client\db\*.db2). But this is a drastic measure, because you will have to configure the program again. It is the same as if you completely uninstall MyChat with a profile.
