Error #0252: file "FILENAME" is removed from the server

 

Error description

It turned out that when you download a file from the server, the original file is deleted and the WEB server returns the error 404.

 

Problem solution

Perhaps, the file was deleted by the automatic system for cleaning old files. Or an administrator manually deleted this file from the server.

 

You can configure the system for automatic cleaning of old files in Admin Panel section "Settings", "Service".


To keep files forever and not delete them at all, uncheck the "Automatically delete files older than X days" setting.

 

By default, all files downloaded on the server are stored in the folder "C:\ProgramData\MyChat Server\files\". You can try to restore deleted file with the help of Recuva or any other similar program.
